High-Achieving College Students Find Jobs, Internships and New Friends on NSCS Web site

Washington, DC, January 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Many high-achieving students join an honor society, pay the membership fee, get the pin and end their experience there. But for members of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS)—an honor society inviting high-achieving freshmen and sophomores—membership just got more dynamic.

NSCS has members on 233 college campuses in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, including University of Florida.

Thanks to new features on the Society’s Web site, members can find other members at their college and NSCS-related events on their campus. They can also upload their resume and find jobs and internships with NSCS’ corporate partners.

“We want members to have NSCS’ many benefits at their fingertips,” said Stephen E. Loflin, NSCS’ Executive Director. “We have so many opportunities for members -- from on-campus social events to scholarships, job opportunities and leadership development-- but our challenge is to bring those opportunities to our members’ attention. These new Web features will achieve just that.”

Members can find jobs and internships by uploading their resume to their NSCS profile page. This feature, ScholarJobs, helps members connect with NSCS’ corporate and nonprofit partners, which include Ernst & Young, Accenture, Peace Corps, Teach For America, Lockheed Martin, and New York Life, among many others.

NSCS members can access these features by visiting www.nscs.org and logging in.
