Lake Worth, FL, February 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue, Inc, an All volunteer, 501 (c ), non-profit animal rescue group formed by a group of experienced, and dedicated volunteers with a mission to save unwanted pregnant, or nursing dogs and cats, and their offspring. The animals will be fostered in a safe environment until ready to be adopted to qualified, loving families.

The event will begin at 10:00am with free pet microchipping to the first 35 pets, followed by the blessing of the animals and official ribbon cutting ceremony by Gertrude Maxwell, Founder of Save a Pet Foundation, at 12:00pm

Other venues at the event include; Pet “Groom-off” contest, K9 demo by the Palm Beach Sheriff Department, K9 Division, and obedience tips by Bark Busters. Several volunteer animal rescue groups will be looking for forever loving homes for the furry friends, and over twenty five pet related vendors will be on site promoting their products.

The event is open to the entire family, including their furry friends.
