UKFast's Rapid Growth to Benefit Region’s People
UKFast pledges to invest in the region’s people as it continues to grow across all areas of the business. Managing director Lawrence Jones says the pool of talent available in the North West is very strong and reduces the need to look further afield.
Manchester, United Kingdom, February 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Recruiting at every level, UKFast has begun the year with two new board members, Paul Harris and Susie Mitchell; senior managers, Kerry Gill and James Crawshaw; and new team members in both tech support and sales. All new employees hail the North West.
With over 20 years in brand development Harris joins the team to add weight as marketing director, while Susie Mitchell, who has consulted UKFast on business development for the last four years has joined the board as a non-exec director.
Mitchell’s skills will be employed to make personal development of individuals a priority in 2009. “We recognise that getting the best out of every team member is now more important than ever,” she says.
Kerry Gill was brought in at the end of 2008 as company accountant to prepare the ground for possible strategies involving acquisition and growth. With extensive knowledge of Microsoft, Crawshaw is charged with bringing the latest from the American software giant to UKFast’s clients, offering them a tactical advantage in the market place.
“With a key focus on our existing clients, we intend to help them all to ride the storm in 2009,” says Jones. “James Crawshaw will head up our Microsoft team and offer innovation to our clients ahead of the rest of the UK.”
In January alone UKFast has increased team numbers by 15 per cent and has held a further four recruitment days to assess potential candidates.
Jones, said: “We’re offering dynamic individuals the opportunity to stay in the North West and progress their careers at all levels. We’re determined to come out of this recession stronger than before, both as a business and a region. ”
UKFast was praised for its astounding levels of growth in the Deloitte Fast 50 in October 08. Deloitte calculated the company as having grown 894 per cent over the last five years.
