Dave Verbeten Aims at Meeting His Business and Philanthropic Goals by Joining ActionCOACH

ActionCOACH’s “14 Points of Culture” proved to be the tipping point for Verbeten.

Las Vegas, NV, February 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Master Licensees Bill McLaughlin and Ann Hofferberth have named Dave Verbeten as an ActionCOACH in Illinois.

Verbeten has acquired a firm-level franchise and his office will be located in Libertyville, Illinois. He will be focusing on small and medium sized businesses located in Lake County.

Verbeten was impressed by ActionCOACH’s famous “14 Points of Culture.”

“The ‘14 points of Culture’ really appealed to me,” he said. “The network of franchisees that I talked to was very helpful and supportive, and the Intellectual Property of the company is extensive.”

While the “14 Points of Culture” represented a real tipping point for Verbeten, ActionCOACH also fit the bill as he was looking to buy a business that could leverage the experiences gained in a prior partnership where he provided interim CEO services.

Verbeten spent most of his career with Fortune 500 companies in a variety of roles involving Sales and Marketing, Operations, and General Management. He later left the corporate world to become an operating partner in two start-up and early stage businesses. In his own words, ActionCOACH represents his “third entrepreneurial adventure.”

Verbeten considers his transformational and turnaround work with a number of operating units in and outside of corporate America to be notable.

“I believe the most noteworthy was an expatriate assignment in Europe in the early 1990’s that included the development of Joint Venture (JV) relationships with businesses in the then Soviet Union,” he said.

Verbeten has enjoyed a variety of leadership roles in the areas of Finance, Sales and Marketing, Operations, Quality and General Management.

“These corporate roles as well as the experience gained in my own personal start-ups have given me a deeper understanding of the needs of various departments across an organization that are necessary to make a business work effectively,” he said. “I will be able to translate my experiences into real world success when it comes to my new coaching assignments.”

Verbeten is convinced that the ActionCOACH opportunity will allow him to meet his goals and support his philanthropic objectives.

“I’m convinced now - more than ever - that ActionCOACH puts me in a position to serve my purpose – ‘to make a difference through significant positive impact,’” he said. “ActionCOACH will leverage my prior corporate and entrepreneurial experiences while helping business owners achieve new goals and levels of achievement.”

A member of the local Chamber of Commerce, the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries, and the Association for Corporate Growth, Verbeten along with his wife also supports a non-profit Foundation called Sotura, which was created to provide introspective workshops for people of all ages.

ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching and executive coaching franchise, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.
