)-- Aliki Foods has donated over 2600 cases of overstocked product to the Connecticut Food Bank in New Haven, CT since October 2008. Donated items include more than 1400 cases of frozen pizza sauce and nearly 1200 cases of 10” pizzas that were discontinued when Aliki Foods launched their new 12” Wood-Fired Brick Oven Crust Style pizza to club stores.
Michael Pappas, President of Aliki Foods is proud to help so many people in need during this cold winter.
“Aliki has donated over 20,000 pizzas to the CT Food Bank, which is more than 80,000 servings,” said Pappas. “During these tough economic times, we’ve had the privilege of helping many hungry people in Connecticut who may have turned to their local food pantry for the first time.”
Donated pizza varieties included Chicken Fajita, Spinach & Feta, Sausage Deliziozo, and Pepperoni.
