Restaurant Tells Vegan Catherine Greenall ‘We Could do You a Plain Salad’

Preston, United Kingdom, February 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lancashire UK author, Catherine Greenall, has written a 134 page glossy cookbook, ‘Vegans Can’t Eat Anything!’ which is available now from the publisher Lulu.com and all major booksellers. The author, a long-term vegan, decided to write the cookbook to help inspire vegans, those catering for vegans and those just wishing to eat more healthily, with menu ideas. The titles of the book and chapters originate from what some restaurants actually said when asked for their vegan options.

Catherine Greenall, as featured recently by BBC Radio Manchester, Lancashire Life, Ormskirk Champion and Mensa magazine, uses fresh, healthy, organic ingredients and the recipes range from regional Lancashire fare to international dishes. The book includes nutritional information, as well as the reasons behind her choice of a vegan diet.

Catherine Greenall said “A vegan diet is excellent for reaching and maintaining an ideal weight and improving health. It is naturally high in fibre, vitamins and minerals and low in saturated fats, sugar and salt. It can reduce the risk of heart disease, strokes and cancers.”
