Participating Restaurants and Vendors Announced for A Toast to the Triangle

Raleigh, NC, February 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities (www.tammylynncenter.org), has announced participating restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors for the 2009 A Toast to the Triangle (www.atoasttothetriangle.org), the organization’s signature fundraising event. The 24th annual event will be held March 8 at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center in Raleigh.

Six awards are given out to participating restaurants each year at the Toast. These awards recognize outstanding dishes, presentations, and displays provided by some of the areas top dining establishments.

All participants are eligible for the People's Choice Award, in which guests vote for their favorite restaurant. The remaining awards are voted on by local judges with professions ranging from chefs to food critics to culinary instructors. All participant booths will be judged for Best Visual Theme. Restaurants may also enter one or several items into the following competitions: Best First Course, Best Entree, and Best Dessert. All food entries are judged for Best Presentation.

About A Toast to the Triangle:
A Toast to the Triangle was first held on April 6, 1986 at Carolina Place. Approximately $6,000 was raised to build residential facilities at the Tammy Lynn Center. Since then, the event has been held annually to raise funds for the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. The event offers an astonishing array of culinary splendor from nearly 50 of the Triangle’s finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers.
