Witness the Adventures of Annie Oakley Come to Life at the Independence Visitor Center

Philadelphia, PA, February 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Families and visitors of all ages are invited to join the Independence Visitor Center on March 13, 2009, from 11 am to 1 pm to witness the life of Annie Oakley, reenacted by a historical interpreter. Annie will amaze and entertain attendees with tales of her shooting skills and adventures. This free event is open to the public, and visitors are welcome to ask Annie questions about her life.

Visitors are invited to spend an afternoon immersed in women’s history and be learn about this early American woman’s achievements. Born in 1860, Annie was taught how to hunt at a young age and developed the skill quickly. As a key figure in history and as a positive female role model, Annie Oakley is sure to win the hearts of people today just as she did over 100 years ago.

The Independence Visitor Center is passionate about providing visitors with an informative and entertaining visit to the city of Philadelphia. This event is just one of many programs offered by the Visitor Center throughout the year, implemented in order to give locals and visitors both young and old an informative and fulfilling stay while here in the region.
