State Renewal of Radiologic Technology Program

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts (GAMA) this state of the art Radiologic Technology program is proud to announce the renewal of their State of California, Radiologic Health Branch accreditation. This renewal comes after an extensive review and inspection of the program curriculum, clinical education process, teaching methodologies and course content.

Concord, CA, February 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The program utilizes the most recent curricular standards as defined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and is in accordance with the learning outcomes utilized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of California Department of Public Health.

Teaching methodologies include interactive instruction, computer-enhanced learning modules, Powerpoint presentations and live demonstrations in a setting which incorporates classroom learning and simulated lab experiences. Student interns further enhance their learning as they rotate through various medical imaging departments to obtain clinical experience and instruction under the direction of radiologic technologists and radiologists.
