Say It Aloud has stepped in the ring against traditional advertising and it looks like the underdog may have the upper hand.

Sacramento, CA, February 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Banner Ad advertising on a website, at first there may seem to be nothing new about it. However, on deeper inspection, http://www.sayitaloud.com has something totally different in mind.

Say It Aloud is a website where writers can submit articles and information on just about anything. Every page is filled with 100% original material ranging from arts and entertainment and business, to poetry and weight loss. The articles are written by some different 400+ writers with varied levels of skill and knowledge. Topics cover everything from heated religious topics and political issues, to cleaning your kitchen with your microwave and bad sports trades. The site was set up by writers for writers.

Joseph L. Zeleny came on board as the sites head of marketing and worked out an entire marketing strategy that would help separate the fledgling website from the rest of the pack. SayItAloud.com climbed Alexa by a staggering 18 million places in its first week, has a present one week average of being in the top 140k websites globally, and is gaining in popularity at unheard of speeds thanks to Zeleny’s marketing efforts.

However Zeleny wasn’t finished there. Say It Aloud offers writers up to 50% of the revenue pulled in by sponsors who want to advertise on the writer’s page. In addition, advertisers can come in and pay a single flat rate fee for a banner ad that will stay on that article for the life of the article which is set at a minimum of one year. Probably most impressive about this offer is the price. At present a top space banner ad on the article of the advertiser’s choosing is only $55.00 with side and base banner ads coming in at $45 and $35 respectively. There is no pay per click, and no additional fees. Many sponsors are coming simply because they pay per click advertising that Say It Aloud places on the page until sponsors come on board is more expensive in the long run than just sponsoring the article.

For writers the concept is a refreshing change as well. Even though each article page only has three sponsorship opportunities and writers with good long articles split those into two parts the pay is much better than other article based websites. If a writer makes 50% of the sponsorship dollar, and an article split into two separate parts is fully sponsored, the writer makes a flat $135.00 for their efforts. Other websites simply offer a smaller flat rate or a percentage of the pay per click revenue.

Say It Aloud seems to be ready for the battle. With an ever tightening economy, it is anticipated that soon in the near future, Say It Aloud may have more advertisers than writers. So the gloves are on and the bell is sounding. March 1st is the official launch date, and we’re betting on the little guy.
