)-- President Barack Obama framed the U.S. economic crisis as an opportunity to solve some of the nation’s most intractable issues and signaled that more taxpayer money would be needed to end the credit crunch.
In his first address to a joint session of Congress, President Barrack Obama said last night “the staggering economy has left our confidence shaken and promised we will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before.”
Isaac Paige Associates Chairman, Peter Matthews, said “President Obama’s speech was exactly what the nation needed to hear at this current time of crisis.” He went on further to say “his speech was pointing out the light at the end of the tunnel and he urged Republicans in Congress to join the President in a dramatic change of course.” Matthews completed his speech by saying “The cost of action will be great but I can assure you that the cost of inaction will be far greater.”
