High School Seniors and Juniors Get a Week of Art College Experience

Many teens are confused about what to pursue in college, especially if they are interested in design industries like fashion, graphics, web, film. Here's a chance to check out an art college for 1 week this summer.

Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- High school seniors and juniors who are looking at art and design schools and colleges have a chance to immerse themselves in a one week college experience at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale College Connection, July 27-21. Students will get an introduction to what it is like to attend a career-oriented college and learn about creative careers and use tools, techniques, and theories that are practiced by professionals in the area of choice – culinary, media, fashion, design.

Students will attend hands-on classes taught by the same professional experts who teach at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale design college. Shoot and edit video, whip up a culinary treat, construct a new product or fashionable garment, design an advertising layout, and more. When not in the classroom, a variety of activities are planned each day to maximize the experience of being in an artistic and creative college for a week. Students will go home with a project they have created and a greater knowledge of what they want to do after high school.
