Michele Alexander Honored at ActionCOACH’s 2009 Asia Pacific Conference

Michele Alexander did not let any obstacle get in the way of her success and won the “ActionMAN” award at ActionCOACH’s regional conference held in Australia.

Gold Coast, Australia, February 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Michele Alexander’s inspirational story was brought to light recently as she bagged honors with the “ActionMAN” award by creating a successful coaching business - overcoming hearing loss as well as the economic downturn.

She was honored with the “ActionMAN” award during the Awards Dinner at the recent 2009 Asia Pacific Conference held at the Gold Coast International Hotel in Queensland’s Gold Coast – Australia’s top holiday destination.

ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars presented this award.

“Michele is an established leader in the ActionCOACH community and has been able to build her business effectively, despite a serious personal obstacle” Sugars said.

Alexander, who did not let her hearing loss interfere with her business felt honored by this recognition.

“I feel extremely honoured to be recognized for my achievement of taking a life changing hearing impairment and turning it into a fantastic opportunity to prove that having a goal, making a plan and above all taking action can help you achieve anything,” she said.

Alexander continued to coach during her hearing loss through lip reading and the help of hearing aids until all tests had been carried out and the assessment was that a cochlear implant was the best solution. This implant turned out to be a great success and now most people don’t even know that she ever had a hearing challenge.

Dismissing the recession, Alexander said she works with a coach who keeps her accountable to her plan.

Alexander’s plan for 2009 includes increasing her business by 50% - for which she has a 12-month plan that incorporates sales and marketing strategies into her quarterly plan. This gives her key actions and activities to achieve each week.

“This also enables my coach to keep me on track and support me with additional education that will give me the success I am aiming for and also keep me continually improving so that I give my clients the very best results,” she said.

Alexander believes that being a part of ActionCOACH has been an incredible journey for her.

“As a business owner, a wife and mother, the principles I teach others on taking ownership, responsibility and accountability for one’s life and business have impacted many people that I come into contact with during business and social life,” she said. “I really love being a coach and sharing my knowledge to help people achieve whatever they wish to achieve. I am extremely grateful to my family, my clients and many other coaches within the ActionCOACH community for helping me achieve this award.”
