New Toast Podcast Features Interview with Ań

Raleigh, NC, March 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, has announced the release of a podcast interview with Vi Chuong, the special events coordinator for the Cary-based restaurant Ań. Ań has signed as one of many outstanding local restaurants participating in the 24th annual A Toast to the Triangle event on Sunday, March 8.

The podcasts features commentary from Chuong regarding the restaurant’s continued involvement in the Toast and this year’s event. Chuong discusses topics such as:

• The restaurant’s history and cuisine
• What makes Ań unique
• Ań’s interest and involvement in the A Toast to the Triangle event
• Ań’s head chef, Michael Chuong
• What Ań enjoys most about the Toast event
• Where guests can find more information

Each year, six awards are given out to participating restaurants at the Toast. These awards recognize outstanding dishes, presentations, and displays provided by some of the areas’ top dining establishments. At the 2008 Toast, Ań received both the People's Choice Award and the Best Visual Theme award.

The 2009 Toast will be held on March 8, 2009 at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center in Raleigh. Event proceeds will benefit the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, which in turn supports programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities.

The event offers guests samples from over 40 of the area’s finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers, as well as friendly competition among the participants. The 2008 Toast surpassed its fundraising goal and raised $212,000, and more than 1,200 people were in attendance. Last year’s single largest donation came in the form of an anonymous donation totaling $15,000.
