Visix Celebrates 1000th AxisTV System Deployed

Atlanta, GA, March 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Visix, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has now deployed 1000 of its visual communications systems on three continents around the world. These systems are delivering a wide range of dynamic content to tens of thousands of displays. The 1000 deployment milestone is one that only a few digital signage software companies have accomplished.

Visix personnel completed the software configuration component of the deployment at South Texas Veterans Health Care System, San Antonio, Texas, on January 16, 2009. The AxisTV system deployment was specified, implemented and managed by Vyopta Incorporated, a value added reseller in Austin. The Veterans Health Care deployment is based on the AxisTV Enterprise platform that is managing and delivering content to six Visix media players and five displays in public areas around the Audie L. Murphy VA hospital. as well as three existing displays located at the South Texas Veterans Health Care Center at Harlingen, Texas. Each display includes an Extron IPLT interface integrated into the AxisTV application, enabling the hospital to manage the displays remotely to reduce power consumption and extend their operational life.

“The 1000 deployment milestone is a notable accomplishment,” stated Sean Matthews, President of Visix. “Though there is no way to independently audit the install bases of all of the digital signage software companies, we believe there are no more than 10 companies that have crossed this threshold. It is important to note that just over 40% of these deployments were made in the past 24 months. The fact that we continue to develop technologies that go beyond basic digital signage is accelerating our adoption in communications markets.”
