Mayflower Transit Gains Industry Certification as a ProMover

St. Louis, MO, March 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mayflower Transit, one of the nation’s oldest van lines, has been officially certified as a ProMover by the industry’s trade group, the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA).

AMSA provides ProMover certification only after the designated company has passed a background check of its operations and has agreed to abide by a set of honorable business practices and AMSA’s Code of Ethics.

“I am pleased and extremely proud of our company,” said Richard McClure, president of UniGroup, Inc., Mayflower’s parent company. “This achievement will give our customers the assurance they are dealing with a legitimate, professional mover and not a fly-by-night con artist out to rip them off. Becoming a ProMover is consistent with our company’s long history of treating our customers fairly and honestly.”

The certification authorizes Mayflower to display the bold capital “M” logo that is the mark of a ProMover in its advertising and marketing materials as well as on its Web site.

“Mayflower is among the latest to earn this sought-after designation,” said Linda Bauer Darr, AMSA president & CEO. “I’m delighted to have another member who has successfully met all of the qualifications and become part of the elite ProMover family of movers. Consumers across the country can now know in advance they’re hiring a quality, reliable moving company.”
