Pilates Teacher Makes Exercise Fun with Clothing Designs

New line of Pilates clothing to promote Pilates as an exercise and to keep aleady devoted Pilates practitioners excited and motivated about the exercise method. The graphics are humorous to remind everyone that exercise should be fun not just a chore.

Los Angeles, CA, July 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- In 2004 there were 10 million people doing Pilates exercise, as reported in IDEA Journal March 2006.

There are no signs that this trend is slowing down. According to the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) 2003-2004 17.1% of children and adults were overweight and 32.2% adults were obese. JAMA also reports that overweight children grow up to be overweight adults. More and more people are finding Pilates exercise and yet a significant percentage of people are still overweight.

Exercise is important for a healthy body, everyone knows this and everyone tries to do this. If you don’t do it you gain weight. How do you stay motivated? Exercise is hard work, it takes discipline and consistency; does that sound like fun? After working hard at your job, working at maintaining a family, working at a good relationship, who wants to add more work to that list? The trick then is to make these important areas of our life not feel like work. If you view something as fun and enjoyable you are much more likely to do it.

Pilates is fun and engaging, many people don’t know about it, yet. Pleasing Pilates designs clothing to remind you that exercise can be fun and displays that concept to the world. The Pilates method of exercise can also make you feel awkward and totally uncoordinated; it isn’t an easy method. The clothing reminds the wearer or any Pilates practitioner to have a sense of humor about their sometimes apparent lack of coordination. You can work your body and have fun too.

The best time to wear the designs is during your Pilates session. They are comfortable enough to work out in and are fitted just enough to reveal your body's alignment while you’re smiling through your class. Any other casual time: hiking, shopping, movie going, would also work for wearing these clothing styles.

Pleasing Pilates is based in Los Angeles, Ca. and the clothing line is available now for women through the Pleasing Pilates website.
