Cloris Leachman to Reflect Upon Her Life in the Spotlight at Heritage Pointe Fundraising Luncheon

Cloris Leachman headlines the annual fundraiser luncheon for Heritage Pointe, a non-profit assisted-living community in Orange County. Proceeds from the April 6 event go towards “scholarships” that support residents who cannot support themselves.

Irvine, CA, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Winning Actress of Film, Stage and Television Will Highlight Her Seven Decades in Showbiz and Sign Her New Autobiography

Renowned actress and entertainer Cloris Leachman headlines the 2009 annual fundraiser luncheon for Heritage Pointe, a non-profit retirement and assisted-living community in Orange County. She will host the annual luncheon and boutique fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine on April 6. Her presentation will feature a conversation with Cloris as she offers a personal perspective on her expansive career in Hollywood and beyond. Proceeds from the event will raise funds for “scholarships” that support senior residents who cannot always afford the cost of living at Heritage Pointe.

Considering Cloris, one might look at her life as the Curious Case of Cloris Leachman where she just seems to get younger and more vibrant every day. Already an Oscar, Golden Globe and nine-time Emmy winning actress and entertainer; she is more popular than ever. Leachman was most recently the Grand Marshal of the Rose Parade and a feisty show stopper on “Dancing with the Stars”. As the guest speaker for the Heritage Pointe event, she will also do a Southern California exclusive book signing of her new autobiography “Cloris!” following the event. Starting with her humble beginnings as a starry-eyed small town Iowa girl, she has gone on to raise more than a few eyebrows over her seven decade career. From Miss Chicago, to Frau Blucher, to Nurse Diesel, to Phyllis, to Grandma Ida...Cloris has effortlessly morphed from one memorable character to another. This is a great opportunity to see all the passion, humor, dedication and unpredictability that is the wonderful life of Cloris...and help a good cause at the same time!

The enticing boutique opens at 9:30 am and features clothing, jewelry, accessories and gift items. Early arrivals can participate in an Early Bird Drawing of gift certificates toward boutique items. The luncheon begins at 11:45 am. General Admission to the non-profit fund- raising boutique, luncheon and Cloris program is $75. There is no fee for entry to the boutique. For a luncheon invitation, information on VIP seating, donor or underwriting opportunities, please call Pamela or Jackie at (949) 364-0010.
