Pac-10 Expands Partnership with Collegiate Images to Manage Digital Sports Content

Sunrise, FL, March 12, 2009 --( Collegiate Images, the nation's leader in licensing and distribution of college sports video content, today announced an extension and expansion of its partnership with the Pac-10 Conference.

Already partners since 2003, the new agreement between the Pac-10 and Collegiate Images runs through July 2015.

"The Pac-10 has won more NCAA titles than any other conference, and thanks to our partnership with Collegiate Images, the Conference of Champions has been able to capitalize on and protect the rights to our student-athletes' proudest moments," said Pac-10 Associate Commissioner Duane Lindberg. "Going forward, CI will help us preserve those priceless moments for the enjoyment of all our fans."

In addition to creating more revenue-generating opportunities for the Pac-10 and its universities, CI will also digitize, organize and manage all Pac-10-owned and archived video content, including full-game network broadcasts owned by the Conference.

"For too long, many of the greatest moments in college sports history sat deteriorating on forgotten library shelves. Imagine if great plays from USC's remarkable 11 national championship seasons or The University of Arizona's powerhouse basketball program were lost forever," said Collegiate Images Executive V.P. John Christie. "Thanks to our state-of-the-art digital asset management system, not only will those games be preserved and protected forever, but we'll also find new and exciting ways to license and distribute this valuable content."

The Pac-10 Conference was one of the first athletic conferences to retain copyright ownership to its broadcasts featuring member institutions. The Conference’s most recent broadcast agreement also includes ownership rights to the Conference's Men’s and Women’s basketball championship tournaments.
