OTA to Provide Students with RFID Internships

Unique program offers students a trial run in the business world while affording participating companies the opportunity to evaluate workers beyond a traditional job interview.

Dallas, TX, March 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- OTA Training LLC, the global leader in hands-on, vendor-neutral RFID training and certification has announced that an additional paid internship option will be made available to students looking to complete OTA’s four-day RFID+ certification course.

The internship program is intended to help students utilize the valuable knowledge gained during OTA’s hands-on certification course as well as provide them with an out of the gate opportunity to add valuable RFID work experience to their resume.

“With this essential ‘foot in the door’ for potential employers, students will most likely find it much easier to land a job in the RFID industry,” said Robert Sabella, CEO and Founder of OTA Training. “In addition, this provides employers with a valuable “try before they buy” opportunity to evaluate potential full-time employees.”

This OTA internship program is currently being offered in the Dallas, Texas, region. OTA plans to expand the program to other parts of the U.S. in 2009, as well as worldwide. Firms KayPat, AARFID, Bentonville International Group and OnAsset have already signed up with the program.

“This program gives us an opportunity to work with the best and the brightest candidates in the RFID technology field,” said John McGinnis, CEO and Founder of KayPat. “Having somebody come in with a high level of training is an enormous benefit for us. We look forward to partnering with OTA in this exciting and unique venture.”

OTA looks to give students a leg up in the RFID job market by providing them with the introductory experience that will help them expand the rest of their RFID career. Opportunities such as these are especially vital during a struggling economy where competition is high in a slowing job market.

Each intern will work a term of no less than three weeks and will draw a salary for their time. OTA hopes to expand this opportunity in other parts of the US and eventually world wide through partnerships with local integrator.
