Math Goes Digital with the MobiStories Release of First International Picture Book

Children love picture books. Children love having stories read to them. But will children love stories about math? "Walter One" is the first narrated video mobistory of the year with music and sound effects that children will love to watch and hear over and over again.

Doylestown, PA, March 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Still Motion Media, creator of MobiStories, digital books for kids, today announced that Walter One, the first of the Numberline Lane ten book series, is now available as a MobiStory.

Each of the ten books covers objectives from the UK National Numeracy Strategy which enables teachers to provide students with a firm foundation in mathematics and sets ambitious targets for raising standards in this key skillset. The story of Walter One focuses on counting and number patterns. Walter is quite shy, but he is kind and thoughtful. He keeps to himself most of the time, but he does like to come first in competitions.

“This first story does a wonderful job setting the stage for the following nine in the series,” commented Rick Toone, creative director of Still Motion Media. “In addition, the beauty of these books is that there are activities and worksheets that teachers and parents can use to reinforce the math skill learned during each story,” he continued.

Now, children will be happy to take their math with them. As with all MobiStories to date, Walter One can be downloaded to mobile and other digital devices including iPhones, iPods, PC and MAC computers. A DVD of the book will be created soon. Downloads are currently available on the company’s website, www.mobistories.com.
