Heidelberg PR Launches New Seminar Series to Bolster Small Businesses
"Mastering Public Relations" is designed for small business owners and non-profit leaders who want to gain more exposure for their organizations and grow their businesses without expensive advertising. The seminar provides "do-it-yourself" tools and strategies to succeed in a tough economy.
“It’s no secret that small companies are struggling right now,” said Heidelberg PR owner Julie Heidelberg. “For many, it’s time to learn a few new techniques about media relations and grassroots marketing.”
The “Mastering Public Relations” seminar, scheduled to run from 9 a.m. – 12 noon in Tampa, will emphasize three key elements, including
o How to identify and generate your own news
o How to share and spread your news
o How to build strategic alliances to generate grassroots support and more news
“In a way, the Heidelberg PR seminars are a form of community service,” Heidelberg said. “No one benefits when a company goes out of business, so we are giving people the tools they need to get a leg up on their competitors, reach new audiences and hone skills that can serve them indefinitely.”
“Many companies can no longer afford advertising or outsourcing for PR services, so they are turning into “do-it-yourselfers,” Heidelberg said. “This trend of renegade media pitching can result in success for some, but for others it is a waste of time and can even be detrimental to future outcomes if it’s approached incorrectly.”
