Wives Behind the Badge Launches Scholarship Program

Orange, CA, March 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Wives Behind the Badge (WBTB) announced today the availability of scholarship money for children of law enforcement officers. The scholarship provides educational/vocational financial assistance to the dependent children (natural or adopted) of law enforcement officers who are pursuing higher education. Any dependent child of a law enforcement officer (full-time active service, retired or killed in the line of duty. Scholarships are available for a maximum of $250.00 for junior/community college or $500.00 for a four-year college/university.

Applicants must complete an application by May 1, 2009. An independent scholarship committee will review applications in May and make its recommendations to the Wives Behind the Badge Board of Directors, whose members will name the winner in June 2009.
