In the podcast, Pineiro discusses her personal take on the “glass ceiling” and how women can break it in their own lives. “Now that the glass ceiling is full of cracks, women need to take advantage of the opportunities that historically have not been available to them,” said Pineiro. “This podcast will give women advice about the outlets and networks they can access.”

About WOmen @ Work:
WOmen @ Work is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging young women to explore traditionally male-dominated construction fields. The organization was founded by Lisa Pineiro, a former cosmetologist who now owns her own electrical training and recruiting firm, Technical Services Inc. (TSI), in Durham, N.C. Pineiro saw the shortage of women in the construction industry and knew that this was a missed opportunity for many young women. As a result, Pineiro formed WOmen @ Work to persuade middle and high school age girls to embrace construction and other trades as a viable career path. Pineiro travels throughout the Southeast to spread her message during a hands-on program that allows young women to learn and exercise skills in construction.
