Two San Antonio Technology Firms Lead the Way in Support of the United States Air Force Network Operations (AFNetOps) with Mission Critical Cyber-Security Support

San Antonio, TX, March 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Web-Hed Technologies and CNF Technologies, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, are two of four firms recently awarded a four-year contract to support the AFNetOps, located at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, Louisiana. Web-Hed Technologies and CNF Technologies portion of the contract is worth over $2.3 million.

AFNetOps is a subordinate unit to the upcoming Air Force Cyber Numbered Air Force (24th AF). Lackland AFB is currently one of six possible locations for 24th AF. It is expected that AFNetOps would be moved to the final location after the decision is made in June 2009.

The primary mission of the AFNetOps is to provide assured network-centric services across cyberspace at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels in support of warfare, intelligence, operations support, and business processes.

“Teaming with the right partners of large and small business from the San Antonio high technology base-line provided us the edge needed in this very competitive bidding process. We are proud to have been selected to play a small part in the cyber-security of our nation” quotes Janie Martinez Gonzalez, President of Web-Hed Technologies.
