Paint the Mic: In Solidarity, One Love

Ceiba Collective puts on a great artistic and entertaining event to promote unity.

New York, NY, March 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ceiba Collective puts on a great artistic and entertaining event to promote unity.

The show “In Solidarity, One Love” another Paint The Mic series event, aims to promote unity amongst all by bringing together poets and photographers to showcase a diverse collection of artistic work that plants seeds of change, love and unity. “Albeit war, class, gender roles at home or work, religion vs. spirituality and conviction vs. certainty, urban issues, domestic violence, racial profiling, knowing your rights, capitalism, or the collective consciousness shift....we can still be unified” were the thoughts of the artists collaborating for this show.

With unity comes diversity and not only in people but in art. The audience will experience art that projects a full spectrum of feelings, from anger about injustices, to joy about the positive future. Together we will stand in solidarity at this show, and collectively through art, poetry, and music, share what it means to do so.
