WOmen @ Work Releases Podcast on Male-Dominated Industries
Durham, NC, March 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lisa Pineiro, president of Technical Services Inc., a privately held electrical training and recruiting firm, and founder of WOmen @ Work, a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging young women to explore traditionally male-dominated construction fields, has announced that WOmen @ Work has released a podcast discussing opportunities for women in traditionally male-dominated industries. In the podcast, Pineiro informs women of many of the opportunities that exist within those industries and discusses the steps women can take to learn about career opportunities. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, men in the construction industry outnumbered women nearly 32 to 1 in 2006.
