French & Canadian Armed Forces Join International Conference on Advancing Tactical Communication Capabilities

London, United Kingdom, April 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Major Ian Graham of the Canadian Armed Forces and Colonel Jean-Marc Vesco of the French Army have become the latest national representatives to join an international meeting of armed forces taking place on the 18th-19th May in London. They join representatives from nine other countries at a conference aimed at enabling military communications specialists to assess how forces are overcoming the operational challenges of communications deployment in theatre.

National representatives will provide operational insight into the limitations of technology in action, how common inhibitors are being overcome and the latest deployment of new technologies. “Tactical communications is of critical importance to all nations operating in theatre today,” said Matthew Robinson, who is director of the event for Defence IQ, “In the long term, software defined radio is undoubtedly the future of interoperable, cost effective communication - but what are the immediate solutions to common challenges? This is the insight that Maj. Graham, Col. Vesco and other military operators will help provide answers to.”
