Remington College Makes Sure Disadvantaged Students Look Their Best for the Prom

Remington College Partners with Operation Cinderella to Provide Free Salon Services for Select Students.

Webster, TX, April 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Remington College® Houston Southeast Campus is partnering with the Assistance League of the Bay Area (“ALBA”) and their “Operation Cinderella” Program to make sure disadvantaged high school students look their best on prom night.

Remington College Houston Southeast Campus cosmetology students and instructors are donating their salon services free of charge for 70 disadvantaged Clearlake ISD and Dickinson ISD high school students who were selected by ALBA. The Campus will provide hair styling, manicures and pedicures for the young women and hair cuts for the young men.

“Every student deserves to have a memorable prom night, and we’re happy to donate our services to make sure these students look and feel their best,” said Robert Doty, Remington College Houston Southeast Campus President.

Remington’s College’s Cosmetology program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in "The Salon at Remington", which allows students to work with real clients.

The schedule for students receiving prom makeovers is as follows:

April 4th – Clear Brook (3 girls, 4 boys)
April 25th – Clear Lake (8 girls, 3 boys)
May 9th – Dickinson (7 girls, 10 boys)
May 15th – Clear view (9 girls)
