Economic Downturn Causes Health to Plummet

Your diet is the first thing to go in the midst of an economic crisis.

Los Angeles, CA, April 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fitness guru Tosca Reno – creator of the famed Eat Clean Diet – says that during times of financial distress, people tend to put their health on the backburner.

She says people today are so worried and depressed about their finances, they forget to maintain a healthy diet and either “ignore food, or turn to food as solace.”

Poor eating habits often make people even more depressed, but Reno believes your health doesn’t have to plummet with the economy.

She says eating “clean,” healthy fats like fish, nuts, and flax seeds help curb depression and give you the energy needed to be at your best.

She says, “Who knew it was as simple as what goes in your mouth? Diet is so manageable – eat well and eat conscious.”

Reno fears that if folks don’t start putting their diet first, they’ll be hurting the economy even more.

She explains, “For every pound we gain, it costs our health care system millions of dollars.”
