Igor Shuvalov, Deputy Chairman of the RF Government, Participated in SKOLKOVO Round Table for CEOs

The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO introduces a new project “To-the-Point” – regular round table meetings for CEOs. The topic of the first meeting was the analysis of the macro economic situation that changed drastically within the last few months and the discussion of the leaders’ role in anti-crisis management. The talks featured Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Chairman of the RF Government and SKOLKOVO International Advisory Board member.

Moscow, Russia, April 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO introduces a new project “To-the-Point” – regular round table meetings for CEOs. “To-the-Point” will grant CEOs a valuable opportunity in which to discuss crucial questions and to analyse serious decisions in the framework of their corporation or company, the country and the world as a whole. An outstanding professoriate, representatives from large businesses and government leaders will share their expertise at these round tables. Proposing such an initiative, SKOLKOVO sees its goal in receiving feedback from thought leaders in order to integrate in the educational programmes new components that meet the demands of today and correspond with the future tasks of strategic development.

The topic of the first meeting was the analysis of the macro economic situation that changed drastically within the last few months and the discussion of the leaders’ role in anti-crisis management. The talks featured Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Chairman of the RF Government and SKOLKOVO International Advisory Board member. Igor Shuvalov is coordinating the Anti-crisis Measures Programme of the RF Government aimed at softening the negative effects of the crisis, and stimulating progressive structural moves that rejuvenate Russian economy and society. During the SKOLKOVO round-table discussion with the business-society representatives, Igor Shuvalov highlighted: “Today we are facing serious economic challenges, and now, as no time before, we need to consider all our actions with all the responsibility. The leaders’ role in these circumstances increases immensely. The proper motivation, the proper investment in human capital is a key to success."

Ruben Vardanian, President of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO acted as the round table moderator. Andrei Volkov, Dean of SKOLKOVO, noted the special role of new educational approaches during the crisis: “The world is changing and the crisis demands from all of us non-trivial decisions. The impulse to find and make such decisions may give not only a good education, but also a discussion between the people who are willing to look over the horizon. All SKOLKOVO programmes have been created in order to provide students with the knowledge that will help them always be a step ahead."

SKOLKOVO is planning to conduct such meetings on a regular basis.
