BOLT Bridge Now Supports HP Scanners

Elkhart, IN, April 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- BOLT LTD of Elkhart Indiana has announced the addition of support for HP document scanners in BOLT Bridge connector software for Laserfiche*. The BOLT Bridge software marries the Smart Document Scan Software feature bundled with select HP document scanners to Laserfiche document and content management solutions to dramatically simplify distributed scanning.

"By linking the HP Smart Document Software feature directly to Laserfiche BOLT Bridge enables a 'one button' style of scanning," states BOLT VP; Jeff Nelson. "Now repetitive scanning of similar types of documents can be automated to make the process faster and much eaiser to train and support."

The BOLT Bridge software functions by allowing users or administrators to custom define and save up to nine document profiles. These profiles store pre-set information such as document routing, indexing, and naming. Selecting the desired profile on the scanner control panel before scanning releases documents directly into Laserfiche without additional user input. For documents requiring further input, the scan profiles can be set for advanced mode that prompts for the required information at scan time.

The BOLT Bridge software functions using an available license from the license pool and does not require that the Lasefiche client be installed on the scanning station. The BOLT Bridge enables the use of select compact and affordable personal document scanners to make deploying distributed scanning easy and affordable.
