ActionCOACH Bags “Coach of the Year” Award at the 2009 EMEA Conference for the Third Consecutive Year

Michael Shinnick from Ireland bagged the highest honor at the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Conference held in London.

London, United Kingdom, April 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ActionCOACH, the world’s leader in business and executive coaching, recently held its 2009 EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) conference at the London Metropole Hotel.

The conference culminated with an Awards Dinner to honor the “best of best” in business coaching from Europe, the Middle East and Africa based upon client results and overall performance in 2008.

ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars presented the coveted “Coach of the Year” award to Ireland’s Michael Shinnick.

“Michael has won this coveted award on the basis of the absolutely fantastic results he has been bringing his clients,” Sugars said. “It is an honor to present this award to him.”

Shinnick, who achieved this award for the third consecutive year, felt honored by the recognition.

“Prestigious awards like these come with great results – results I have been bringing to my clients. We have worked together in these tough times to remain positive and focused on what needs to be done to survive and thrive in this economy,” he said.

Shinnick believes this economic environment presents an excellent opportunity for business owners.

“This downturn is a good time for business owners to review the structure of their business and adapt their current structure to not only survive this recession but to also gain serious market share,” he said. “Business owners have had a very tough time over the past few months and are now crying out for positive focus and direction. It is a fantastic privilege to be able to offer such a rewarding service.”

A partner at an ActionCOACH firm in Stillorgan County, Dublin, Shinnick feels 2009 promises to be a good year.

“Currently we have four amazing coaches coaching clients all over Dublin. We plan to add another two coaches in the next couple of months with a further two planned in quarter four,” he said. “We are seeing a great demand for coaching as business owners want to align themselves with positive minded people who can help them refocus their business and take them through this recession with a stronger, more sustainable business model.”

Shinnick firmly believes coaching needs to be looked on by business owners as a necessity rather than a luxury.

“The greatest sports teams and individuals have coaches so why should it be any different in business? For this very reason, an increasing number of business owners are turning to coaching to give them that extra edge in taking their business to the next level,” Shinnick said.
