The Tri-Town Economic Development Committee Has Posted a Request for Qualifications (RFQ)

Wilmington, VT, April 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Tri-Town Economic Development Committee has posted a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a planner/consultant services to help the Tri-Town Economic Development Group develop an Economic Development Plan for the towns of Dover and Wilmington (combined populating of 3635). The RFQ is for an economic development planner/consultant services to aid in developing several sustainable and successful tourism and non tourism long term recommendations.

The committee intends that implementation of these recommendations will result in an increase of the economic viability of the valley and positively impact the wages, jobs, and quality of life of valley residents.. The maximum amount available for completing this project is $34,000 (includes all costs including data). The project duration is from May 2009 to December 2009.

The Tri-Town Economic Development Committee’s purpose is to address economic development in the Dover/Whitingham/Wilmington Vermont area. This group was established in the spring of 2007 by the Dover, Whitingham and Wilmington Selectboards and the Mt. Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Currently, the group is working on both short term and long-term economic development strategies.
