IJIS Institute Forges Partnership with e.Republic

Organizations join forces to promote information sharing initiatives.

Ashburn, VA, April 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The two organizations will work collaboratively to promote the importance of mission-critical information sharing as a national priority.

In its effort to harness the expertise of industry in working toward improved information sharing between organizations involved in justice, public safety, and homeland security, the IJIS Institute relies heavily on partnerships with key practitioner organizations, national associations, other non-profit organizations, universities, and organizations that are engaged in furthering improvements to public safety, justice, and homeland security. The Institute believes that the collaboration of industry, practitioners, and academic researchers is essential in making progress toward the goals of national information sharing. The IJIS Institute Alliance Partner program is a means to affirm such collaboration and develop joint teams to solve specific problems or fill needs such as training and technical assistance that will help all organizations better use technology in support of inter-governmental information sharing.

Dennis McKenna, CEO of e.Republic, stated, "We are exceptionally pleased to be included as an IJIS Institute Alliance Partner. We believe that our more than 20 years serving state and local governments with research, conferences, and publications will provide a great value to the IJIS Institute’s efforts promoting the nationwide initiative of information sharing. This collaboration will make our country and citizens safer, and we are proud to be part of it."

Paul Wormeli, executive director of the IJIS Institute, noted that, "Adding e.Republic to our distinguished list of Alliance Partners provides a great value to both organizations and, more importantly, allows us to better promote the
