Limbo Films Showcases New Director, In-House Post-Production Services on TV Ads for Leif’s Auto Collision Center

Portland, OR-based Limbo Films extends auto industry TV commercial production experience to new spots in 1080i HD for Leif’s Auto Collision Center.

Portland, OR, April 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today, Portland-based film production company Limbo Films announced a three-spot television advertisement campaign for Leif’s Auto Collision Centers (www.leifs.com), based in Tigard, Ore. “Good Enough,” Insurance” and “Warranty” will run now through the end of 2009 on six local television stations as the key part of a broad media campaign developed by Portland-based Green Media of Oregon. Six more spots are planned, three of which will shoot later this month.

The comedic ads focus on a female hospital patient who has gotten off to the wrong foot – literally – by receiving the transplant of a many-sizes-too-large male foot. The spots are written and directed by a new addition to Limbo’s roster, Chris Fyan, who infused them with his innate ability to pair comedy with visual elegance. The creative work for the ads is the result of collaboration between Limbo and its client, Green Media of Oregon.

“It is to everyone’s advantage when an early collaboration happens between our team and a client or agency related to creative content,” said Gary Nolton, owner of Limbo Films. “Green Media came to us with the original concept; from there, we worked together to develop something that’s totally engaging and delivers a high level of quality while keeping within their client’s budget. We have built a concept that is a visual metaphor of the client’s key message points, and one that can be built upon in the future. I’m proud of that.”

The spots were shot in 1080i HD with Limbo’s new Sony EX-3 camera. Limbo also leveraged its new in-house, HD post-production capabilities for the ads, another of the advantages that led to Green Media’s selection of the company to produce the campaign.

“We did an exhaustive search of regional production companies,” said Jeshe Burch, owner, Green Media, “and Limbo’s national-level capability spoke for itself. It was also important to Leif’s to keep its dollars in the local economy, and to work with a company that shares its values, such as minimizing a production’s carbon footprint. Those factors, plus being able to complete the entire pre-to-post production under one roof, made going with Limbo a slam dunk for us.”

The new ads for Leif’s are the latest in a string of nationally-acclaimed Limbo-produced ads for major local auto industry clients. The company was instrumental in bringing six installments the famous “Trunk Money” campaign to life for Suburban Auto Group, as well as a three-part series (one starring Billy Dee Williams) for Brondes Ford.
