ReuseRecycleReclaim, LLC Provides Offset Registration Service for Processed Recycled Material

Third party auditing and verification of recycling tonnage converted to credits.

Portland, OR, April 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ReuseRecycleReclaim, LLC is pleased to announce that it has launched a new service to register credits gained by its customers as they recycle industrial waste material. The service, provided by RecycleNet Corporation, will register the amount of Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) per ton of material recycled. RecycleNet's ROCs program will provide a certified, verifiable, and auditable measurement system to demonstrate the benefit and economic impact of the recycling industry.

Andy Kaplan, President at ReuseRecycleReclaim, LLC said, “Initiatives driven by climate change have caused our customers to consider which activities they can pursue to reduce planetary stress and environmental harm. Recycling material saves energy and resources but there has not yet been a mechanism to quantify the greater good. The ROCs program from Recyclenet provides an auditable, verifiable method to ensure that our customers receive acknowledgment of their actions.”

The software program calculates the tonnage of material processed. Materials include glass, metals, silicon and electronics. Both the customer and ReuseRecycleReclaim verify the material quantity and material type separately with the vendor. ROCs are deposited into the customer’s account, held at Recyclenet, where they may be traded, sold or stored.

Andy Kaplan said, “At this time, there is no monetary value for these credits. This system may be used to quantify a corporation’s sustainability strategy and decreased environmental impact, much like GHG emissions mitigation projects. We are proud to be able to quantify our partner’s success while recycling and refining their material to obtain the highest value.”
