A New Way to Stop Your Child from Sexting on Their Mobile Phones

New York, NY, April 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TextGuard™ -- the only carrier agnostic Mobile Device Security application on the market today, for Text archiving, SMS monitoring, SMS spam filtering, and remote device control -- is now available to log and monitor possible sexting messages which are sent to and from a telephone on which the application is installed. Thus, it allows parents to monitor emails and phone calls made to and from the child’s phone.

The newest version of TextGuard enables parents to block messages containing previously defined words and text lingo such as “POS – let’s GNOC l8tr”. Translated to “Parent over shoulder, let’s get naked on cam later. A parent can select any text lingo or sexting words that they would like to block from their child’s phone, yet still see the message and who sent it once they log into the TextGuard secured website. Along with logging, monitoring and blocking, the application will provide blocking of calls by number, blocking of emails by a keyword or email address, along with blocking of any web URL. For text messaging, the utility provides number blocking as well as keyword blocking, allowing the parents to get rid of unwanted spam text messages as well as avoid unwanted text from certain numbers.

TextGuard also provides a device locking facility, which can be scheduled for specific days and times for parents to control when their child can use the phone. Parents have used this feature to shut off their child’s phone during school hours or for the duration of studies and homework.

Currently, TextGuard supports Windows Mobile and BlackBerry phones, providing (http://www.textguard.com) SMS text message logging, monitoring and archiving, call logging, call blocking, as well as blocking of spam text messages.
