Hosted by Anderson Valley Brewing Company, the Boonville Beer Festival is a non-profit event with all proceeds benefiting a variety of community services and charities. Price of Admission is $40.00 in advance, $50.00 at the gate. Festival hours are from 12:30 to 6:00pm, with taps open between 1 and 5pm.

Ahoy maties! So ye know, thar will be pirates about the festival and they will be showcasing nearly 80 breweries, from as far as Pennsylvania and Mexico. All beer sampling is included in the price of admission, and bottled water is provided free of charge. Food, merchandise, and other sundries are available. On-site camping is provided through the Fairgrounds. Attendees will have the chance to sample some of the finest beer the West has to offer (often including rare releases), enjoy live music on two separate stages, peruse local wares, and mingle with fellow beer lovers in a relaxed and friendly outdoor environment.

The Boonville Beer festival has indeed grown legendary since its humble beginnings 13 years ago. The event has increased in scope every year, bringing a loyal following of alumni back as well as an impressive amount of first timers each year. With the expected turnout topping 6,000 this year, organizers have expanded festival amenities to meet the needs of the growing attendance – this means more beer, more food, more facilities, and multiple points of entry to eliminate congestion. They are working hard to maintain the casual, pleasant environment that makes the Festival so special.

The Bahl Hornin’ Foundation, the charitable foundation created by Anderson Valley Brewing Company’s founder Ken Allen, has since its inception dispersed $376,000 in revenue from the Beer Festival to local organizations. In 2008 alone, the Boonville Beer Festival raised $75,000 for organizations that provide vital community services to the region.

The Boonville Beer Festival is an event abundant in good cheer, good beer, and good will. If you are interested in tasting great beers and meeting new friends, all while doing a good deed, this is a great way to spend a spring day.
