Proceeds from the design competition "One Thread" will go to support HIV/AID's related community-based projects in the Americas the Caribbean and Africa.

The Sole of Africa is committed to delivering appropriate assistance to individuals who are suffering from conflict, disease, poverty, displacement, and lack of education or employment skills. These individuals are identified by local authorities and local representatives of humanitarian assistance organizations.

Current and future Sole of Africa projects are planned in the most needy areas of Africa, including Sierra Leone, Sudan, Mozambique, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
