Auslogics Launches FileInspect – a New Windows Process Library

FileInspect is a new Windows process library launched by Auslogics Software. With its help users can find out what each process or file does, identify malware, and get recommendations on how to remove it.

Sydney, Australia, April 25, 2009 --( Auslogics Software launches a new website – FileInspect is a new process library that will allow users to find out all about Windows processes, monitor them, and identify malware. There is no need to download any software – users can open the website and type in a process name in the search box. Each process is rated (safe-unsafe-dangerous) and thoroughly explained.

How Is This Site Useful?

Even if a user knows exactly which programs are installed on his computer, he can’t be sure his PC hasn’t got any malware. When the PC is infected, it might start acting weird, slow down, display pop-ups, etc. Or it might not. Malware will just run different processes in the background and will never show itself until something terrible happens. For example, all user passwords, bank details and other personal information gets stolen.

Unfortunately viruses, Trojans, and other malware often mask themselves as safe files and processes. When a user takes a quick look at the Task Manager, he won’t notice anything strange. For example, usually lsass.exe is a safe system file. But sometimes it’s a Trojan pretending to be lsass.exe.

That’s when comes to rescue. It provides all the necessary information about any Windows process. This way it is possible to detect and remove malware before it actually does anything to the system.

Also FileInspect can prove very useful for trying to establish what causes computer crashes. If a PC freezes or crashes frequently the first thing to do is have to look at all running processes and applications to identify the culprit. FileInspect will make the task easy and recommend how to deal with each process.
