Peoria, IL, April 26, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- No matter how great you are, you can always do things to make yourself better. That is the motto Mazda used when it chose to give the already-lauded Mazda CX-9 upgrades in style, safety and function.
The CX-9 is a vehicle that has been successful from its beginning. The CX-9 changed the way consumers looked at three-row crossover SUVs when it was released in 2007. With its style, versatility and safety, the CX-9 continues to impress car buyers in its fourth year. For the 2010 model year, the CX-9 gets significant exterior and interior upgrades, new options and more comprehensive safety features. Heritage Mazda, the Peoria Mazda car dealer, will feature the CX-9 when it becomes available later this year.
New on the exterior will be: a new wheel design; larger, more aerodynamic side mirrors; a bolder five-point grille; and a new rear design that coordinates more smoothly with the front fascia design.
On the inside of the CX-9, the driver will notice a sleek, organized combination of cylindrical shapes and blacked-out instruments on the T-shaped instrument panel. Light-edged gauges and indirect blue illumination set a cool mood while cruising down the road. For 2010, upscale interior additions increase the mood of sophistication CX-9 customers already have come to expect, while maintaining the styling theme of the previous model. New enhancements for 2010 include: Piano-black insets on the steering wheel and around audio display; a new double-lid center console that allows easier opening and boasts ample storage; and new fabric seating surfaces. The Peoria Mazda car dealer, Heritage Mazda, will feature a selection of CX-9 models with different interior packages that are certain to fit the tastes of any car buyer.
Front-wheel drive comes standard on the Mazda CX-9 for excellent drivability, with Mazda's Active Torque All-Wheel Drive optionally available. This system rapidly adjusts to changing traction needs by monitoring wheel slippage, steering angle, yaw rate, lateral acceleration and available driveline torque. In normal driving, all of the driving torque is sent to the front wheels. However, during aggressive acceleration or when one front wheel is on the verge of slip, a controlled percentage of the available torque is directed to the rear axle.
Another safety feature, The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system, assists the driver in making safe lane changes. The system monitors areas on both sides of the vehicle to the rear, and when another vehicle moves into the detection area on either side, the BSM system alerts the driver by illuminating a side-mirror warning light. If the driver then activates the turn signal in the same direction as the potential hazard, the warning light will flash and the system will sound an audible alert to immediately inform the driver of the lane-changing danger. At Peoria, Illinois Mazda dealer, Heritage Mazda, car buyer will be able to see this system in action when they stop in for a test drive of the new 7-passenger crossover SUV.
With such an exceptional automobile already on the roads in the current CX-9, when working on the 2010 model, Mazda gave extra thought to small details, like the CX-9's new seat release configuration. Now, releasing the second row seat in order to enter the third row requires just one easy hand motion to unlatch the seat and move it forward. Similarly, a clever strap attached behind the third row seat's backrest serves as both a release for folding the seat and a means of pulling it back erect again. These ease-of-use, family-friendly features will be displayed at the Heritage Mazda dealers in Peoria.
Heritage Mazda are the Mazda dealers in Peoria who will have the 2010 CX-9 right when it hits showrooms this summer. Locally, Heritage Mazda looks forward to offering the upgraded CX-9, telling its customers to stop in their local Peoria, Illinois Mazda dealer for a test drive this summer.
