TeleHealth Services Chosen by Baptist Hospital East in Development of New Park Tower

Baptist Hospital East chooses TeleHealth Services to provide all new healthcare grade televisions in new Park Tower.

Raleigh, NC, April 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TeleHealth Services, the nation’s leading provider of healthcare on-demand patient and staff education, healthcare televisions and communications solutions, today announced a new contract with Baptist Hospital East, in Louisville, KY. The facility opened Park Tower, a new wing of the hospital, in the fall of 2008 and chose TeleHealth Services as its healthcare television provider.

“When designing Park Tower, we knew that we needed to find a healthcare television provider that would understand our vision, our deadline and our financial initiatives,” said John Barrett, Construction Manager at Baptist Hospital East. “We had previously worked with TeleHealth Services and were aware of their exceptional products and impeccable delivery and installation services. They emphasized this during the proposal process and impressed us even more with their unique financing options.”

The completion of Park Tower added 144 beds to Baptist Hospital East’s facility, as well as full outpatient surgery. All of the patient rooms are private and much larger than other rooms in the facility, meeting Baptist’s goal of creating a more comfortable and innovative patient experience. Additionally a Rooftop Garden and Healing Garden allows for a healing, soothing atmosphere right on site.

TeleHealth’s total solution package included the equipment and full installation of 153 Philips commercial and healthcare grade LCD TVs and 18 Zenith CRTs throughout Park Tower, including the patient rooms, public and family areas. Additionally, the Philips televisions provided the facility with the newest in LCD healthcare technology. “The Philips Healthcare Grade HDTVs provided additional benefits to the project, including space savings, superior viewing experience and energy saving technology,” continued Barrett.

“Baptist Hospital East has been a TeleHealth partner for quite a while and we are extremely pleased that they have extended our relationship into the development of Park Tower,” said George Fleming, CEO of TeleHealth Services. “Providing them with the newest healthcare television technology, combined with the best possible solution, was our top priority. At a time when budgets are being cut and capital expenditures are put on hold, we feel it is imperative to work with our clients to ensure that their needs and visions are fulfilled and quality is not lost.”
