Gilchrist Ensures La cle de Champs Range is Champion

Leading branding and design implementation specialist, Gilchrist – part of Sun Branding Solutions – has helped LU France launch its first range of organic biscuits sold in non-specialised retailers.

Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, May 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The La clé de champs biscuits went on-shelf in February in retail outlets across France, with the Gilchrist team working to extremely tight deadlines to ensure the launch timeframe was met. One of the challenges Gilchrist faced during the project was to adapt the packaging designs for the four different flavoured biscuits - raspberry, lemon, milk and dark chocolate - to ensure printing of thepackaging was successful, without significantly altering the original design. To do this, the laminated film for the packaging was printed in Gravure due to the complexity of the design for each variant and to ensure the premium quality of the range was reflected by the depth of the ink and superior reproduction of the illustrations.

The entire job demanded very tight project management from Gilchrist due to the number of people involved in the approval process and the short deadlines required to launch to market on time. Throughout the process, which took only four weeks and involved the creation of a number of options on digi cromalins for two of the variants, Gilchrist liaised closely with the printers, design agency and LU France to ensure the best possible print and packaging design.
