Trinity Academy of Raleigh Named "Best High School Choir"

Raleigh, NC, May 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh (www.trinityacademy.com), a preK-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the academy has received the “Best High School Choir” award at the National Music In The Parks Competition held April 25 at Busch Gardens. This “superior rating of 99” placed them 1st in the high school mixed choir “Single A School” division. Trinity Academy ranked above 20 other public and private schools across the East coast to win the award. The academy’s Middle School Choir also received an “Excellent” rating in the competition where they placed 3rd in the middle school choir division.

Growing from 300 students in Hershey, Pa. in 1980 to more than 180,000 students across the country in 2008, Music In The Parks has become an annual tradition for one out of every 10 schools in the United States. This positive competition experience for band, choir and orchestra students includes admission to an area theme park and an awards ceremony in the park where students are recognized for their accomplishments.

“Trinity Academy of Raleigh is pleased to have received such praise at the Music In The Parks Competition,” said Littlejohn. “We could not have received such a prestigious award without the constant effort and dedication that our students give.”
