Receive press releases from By Email RSS Feeds: Mobile Internet Blogging Site Launched

May 2009 marks the launch of a new .mobi mobile internet service for anyone wanting to create their own blog, using nothing more than a mobile cell phone PDA or Blackberry.

Mumbai, India, May 09, 2009 --( allows anyone on the planet with access to an internet capable mobile cell phone the ability to create their own blog completely free of charge. The nature of the site, compliant to both WAP mobile 2.0 and XHTML standards means even the most basic of internet enabled portable devices can access, create and modify a blog on any subject.

According to freomob CEO Simon Robinson, “Initially the idea was to allow anyone in the world, especially those in developing countries, access to a blogging service that people in more developed countries take for granted. In places like Africa and India, most people do not have access to PC, or the fixed line telephony systems needed for traditional internet access, but they do have access to a mobile phone. With anyone can be a blogger. As long as your phone has a colour screen and it's not one of those old style WAP 1.0 card and deck handsets, you will be able to create your own blog on any subject at The service is also ideal for people travelling the world to log in anywhere the have have a phone signal and add to their personal blog.”

Whilst the site is designed for mobile internet devices, the site can also be used on any PC or Mac with access to the internet. By creating a simple but standards compliant site, the widest possible audience is catered for.

To create a blog users must first register as a freomob user. New users enter their email address, choose a user name and password and then log in to the system. A few clicks later they are inside the blog creation screen. Blogs can be on any subject, and the user must first choose the name of the subject and write a few words to describe the subject. They can then begin adding the individual blog entries. One difference between a mobile blog and a more traditional fixed internet blog is the page size. Each individual blog entries will automatically create a new page, rather than building a very long page that would be unwieldy on a small screened mobile device.

For more information and to created your own blog completely free please visit using a mobile cell phone, PDA, BlackBerry, PC, Mac, Games console, Web TV, or any other type of internet enabled device.
