Aqua Vita Creative Volunteers at Be Wise, Immunize for Second Year

Tulsa, OK, May 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the second year in a row, Aqua Vita Creative staff volunteered at Be Wise, Immunize alongside fellow Tulsa Southside Rotarians. The program allows parents to get their children immunized for free.

Employees Jonathan Cox, Jessica Cox, and Michelle Pierce are all members of the Tulsa Southside Rotary Club, and attended their first Be Wise, Immunize event last year.

"As Rotarians, we put a high priority on giving back to the community," said Jonathan, owner of Aqua Vita Creative. "Many of our clients are local, and we want to help make Tulsa a better place."

Be Wise, Immunize was started in 1989 with the help of Tulsa Southside Rotarian Bill Crews to help combat the rising problem of unimmunized children in the Tulsa area. This year marks the 20th anniversary for Be Wise, Immunize in Tulsa.

All three Aqua Vita employees are heavily involved with Tulsa Southside Rotary. Pierce writes and edits the weekly club newsletter, and Jonathan and Jessica set up and maintain the club's website.

"One of the first things we were told about Rotary is that you get out of it what you put into it," said Pierce, Aqua Vita's editor in chief. "It's great to be a part of an organization that puts so much emphasis on helping out in the community, both locally and internationally."

Aqua Vita has several clients involved in humanitarian efforts as well. The Bushenyi Alliance for Rural Health and Development focuses on educating orphans in Uganda. The Bolivian Pastors Fund raises money to pay the salaries of rural pastors in Bolivia. Engineers in Action is a nonprofit group that identifies potential civil engineering projects for Engineers Without Borders.

"We got our start working with humanitarian organizations," said Jessica, marketing director for Aqua Vita. "Their work truly changes people's lives. We want to help continue those efforts here in Tulsa, and abroad."
