Handheld XRF Rental Program Announced by Eastern Applied

Rental program for versatile Handheld XRF Analyzers meet the needs of companies with short-term testing needs and is most popular for hazardous substance detection applications.

Buffalo, NY, May 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- After recently adding the Quickshot XRF Handheld Analyzer to its product line-up, Eastern Applied Research has developed an XRF Rental Program for the portable instruments. The rental option solves the needs of companies that require this technology for a limited period of time or that want the opportunity to utilize the portable system in their work environment prior to making a full financial commitment.

The Handheld XRF, which utilizes a 40kV x-ray tube and Si-PIN detection system, offers an accurate mobile solution to precious metal identification, hazardous substance detection and alloy/steel grade verification. Since its release, the greatest interest in the system has come from companies looking to test for lead content in apparel and children’s product per CPSIA regulations; however, many of these companies didn’t have the funds or long-term need to justify purchasing a unit – so the Handheld XRF Rental Program was developed.

“We added a high performing handheld option as the first step in meeting the demands of our customers,” stated Shawn Kramer, Sales Manager for Eastern Applied Research. “Now, by offering the instrument as a rental, companies can use them for the short time frames they require or work within a budget while still meeting their testing needs.”

The XRF Rental Program allows for credit of rental fees towards the purchase price because companies that rent the instruments often realize the long-term benefits and value of investing in the technology. Currently, 100% credit of any weekly or monthly rental is provided.

For over twenty years, Eastern Applied Research has provided timely and cost-efficient on-site XRF service through regional service technicians. Eastern Applied also offers a full service standards laboratory that is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, sales of new and used XRF analyzers and consultation services.
