Kevan Woodson was sold to the idea of business coaching and the ActionCOACH tool kit.

Las Vegas, NV, May 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Kevan Woodson has joined ActionCOACH - the number one business and executive coaching firm in the world founded by Brad Sugars 15 years ago.

Master Licensee Craig Hohnberger recently named Woodson as an ActionCOACH in Minneapolis, MN. He will be operating from his home-based office.

The driving force behind Woodson’s decision to join ActionCOACH was the ability to use his many years of corporate experience to help small and medium sized businesses succeed in their new business environment.

Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Woodson was National Sales Manager for the 3M Company, maker of Scotch™ Tape and Post It Notes™, in the Safety and Security industry.

Since assuming the position of National Sales Manager, Woodson met each year’s sales target. He helped grow business unit sales from $21M in 2003 to $39M in 2008 with a CAGR of 12.7%.

He managed the first sale of Road Maintenance Services from the Traffic Safety Solutions Division to BHP Billiton – US. $1.6M in sales. He also wrote a marketing plan for selling software as a product for the 3M Model 6210 Self Check system for libraries.

“This was the first time in our Division that software had been sold as a stand-alone product. This brought in $500,000 in incremental sales in 2002,” he said.

Co-author of “The Library of the Future: It’s Up To You,” a three-day seminar for 70 librarians and consultants at the Library Administrators and Managers (LAMA) Conference in Palm Springs, California, Woodson also achieved the designation of Six Sigma Black Belt in 2003.

“Problem solving has been the main attribute responsible for my success. I have sold to sole proprietors and to multi-national corporations,” he said. “The key to success is adding value and I believe I have done this at all stages of my career.”

Woodson was impressed by ActionCOACH.

“I liked the defined tool set. This took some of the uncertainty out of the sales process and added credibility,” he said. “I believe there will be more people starting their own businesses in the near future and coaching will be a necessary tool needed for success.”

Woodson is excited about the opportunity to work with customers in a face-to-face environment again.

“As National Sales Manager, most of my contacts were at the upper levels of management. As a Business Coach, now I will get to work with the ‘doers’ again,” he said.

A Board Member of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, Twin Cities, Woodson is also a member of ExecuNet, LinkedMN and Sales Management Executives.
