Fashion Weekend New Jersey Believes Its Newest Event Fashionation: Shopper’s Paradise Can Help Make the State of New Jersey a Fashion Mecca

Fashion Weekend New Jersey is aiming to break the mold and make NJ a notable name in the world of fashion.

Secaucus, NJ, May 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fashion Weekend New Jersey (FWNJ) believes it’s next event, Fashionation: Shopper’s Paradise on Saturday May 23rd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus NJ, can help bring the spot light to our great state of New Jersey when you think of fashion. When asked what makes Fashionation: Shopper’s Paradise so special, FWNJ founder Trinice Aponte says “Fashion, Shopping, Music, Spa Service and Cocktails all in one place is the perfect combination.” She also says, “New Jersey and fashion have never really been mentioned in the same breathe, but on any given day we have more Shoppers, designers, manufacturers, buyers, retailers, models, and stylists than New York and the 5 boroughs.” Who’s to argue? The Fashionation event will showcase 40-45 vendors of unique and original designs and products related to fashion, two female deejays and a live conga player, not to mention full bar service.

FWNJ believes NJ has been sorely over looked and under exposed with a lack of fashion events and wants to be the company to put NJ on the fashion map. “If you love fashion and live in NJ, you shouldn’t have to cross the Hudson to get your fix”, says FWNJ executive Director and model, Maximillan Tapper. FWNJ’s last fashion event brought 1,000 people out on a cold rainy night and was the most watched and requested event on the PBS show IMAGES in 2006/2007. He sees huge potential and the opportunity to grow FWNJ statewide to attract larger sponsors and investments in NJ as a fashion Powerhouse. He truly believes in FWNJ’s mantra, “Jersey’s got Style”, and feels it’s only a matter of time before others take notice.

Ask yourself this, where do people from NYC move when they make it? That’s right, New Jersey!.

FWNJ also believes in giving back to the community so portions of their proceeds will be donated to The Give Them A Hand foundation (917) 913-0237 and the Sakhi organization ( www.sakhi.org )
